PEORIA (25 News Now) - Owner Sophia Jefferson was always a planner and loved putting on events for her friends and families.

From parties, baby showers to good old fashioned get togethers, she knew and understood the concept of creating an inviting atmosphere for events.

It wasn’t until her wedding planning in 2005-2007 where she decided to go without a traditional wedding planner and do it all herself.

From decorating, to the food, she created the vision she wanted for her wedding and she says it went off without a hitch and the occasion became the talk of the town.

Now the store owner, who also moonlights as a Gospel recording singer, went across the country and realized Peoria was missing a key element in the event planning space.

A space to accommodate parties for less than 50 people.

She says, “I want to serve the community. Let them have an intimate with a little bit of elegance and take some burden off of them.”

After the Centers for Disease Control released their mandate in 2019 to not allow get togethers for no more than 50 people, she knew it was time to go full force into her new vision.

She explains, “during the pandemic even if you went to a venue because everything didn’t close down. You had a large fee and the fee if you had 40 people you were still paying that large fee for 40 people.”

She saw a need for a micro-event space so the party planner will not have to pay large fees at venues which can hold up to 500 people when only 40 people or less are going to actually attend.

Jefferson decided to open up Timeless Event Studio Space with the hope to become an all-inclusive event venue to take the stress off of the event planner.

She does all the heavy lifting and decorating, so all a person needs to do is to provide the food for their event.

“You tell me your colors. You tell me your theme and your vision and I’ll run it for you.” Said Jefferson.

Timeless Event was named in honor of her father who was an avid watch collector, before his untimely passion.

Now when visitors stop in to the space located at 6818 N. Frostwood Parkway in Peoria, they are greeted by a stunning wall of different clocks.

Jefferson open her micro event space in late July and is open for bookings for the Fall, “when you walk in the door, I want you to have the feel that everything is set up. You just bring the food sit down enjoy your whole time. Enjoy your guests. Enjoy your event.”

For 25News viewers, she is offering a $600 all-inclusive discount for events held in both September and October if they reach out to her and book their event before the end of August.

“Once your event is over. I want you to take that memory with you and leave knowing you didn’t have to run around trying to get everything done because basically, I do it for you,” Jefferson says.
