A Peoria couple celebrates love and 73 years of marriage

PEORIA (25News Now) - Love is in the air for this couple celebratng 73 years of marriage.

Heartis Village of Peoria Assisted Living celebrates its senior community by choosing seniors to live their dreams. Senior couple Pat and Jim Weinkauf were chosen because of their 73 years of marriage, and Sunday the couple celebrated 73 years by renewing their vows. This was a way to bring a full circle of love for the couple, said Andrea Moore, who is the vibrant life director at the assisted living facility.

“I think it’s awesome. Nowadays, people think marriage doesn’t last forever. When you see two people like Pat and Jim come together, you see the love they have for each other. It’s just amazing to watch,” said Moore.

Pat Weinkauf says the key to a successful marriage is love.
