CENTRAL ILLINOIS (25News Now) - Our forecast has been similar day over day and that remains the case for a bit longer.

Forecast Highs:

Highs remain similar day over day moving forward. We’re looking at mid 70s over the next few days with a small cooldown on Tuesday. Even with the cooldown, we’ll see temperatures nearly 10 degrees above normal. Highs 10-15 degrees above normal have been the trend for almost all of October.

Rain Chances:

The biggest change in the forecast comes in the form of rain chances. We need quite a bit of rainfall across central Illinois as we’ve only had about half the amount of rain we normally see for the month. While we need about an inch of rain to get back to normal, it’s not likely we see that any time soon. Rain chances coming up on Tuesday and Wednesday will bring spotty showers at best.

Temperature Trend:

Our temperature trend at first looks like we’ll have changes but we actually hold steady over the next few days and most of the trend, we’ll hover in the mid 70s. We really only cool down into the start of November. When we finally hit the 60s, our average high will be in the upper 50s.
