LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5/Gray News) - A gunman is dead after a shooting at a North Las Vegas apartment complex that killed five people and injured a teen.

KVVU reports North Las Vegas Police Department officers responded to an apartment complex in the 300 block of Casa Norte Drive around 10 p.m. on Monday.

Police found two women, one in her early 40s and the other in her late 50s, suffering from gunshot wounds. The women were later declared dead at the scene.

Detectives also discovered two additional women in their mid-20s and a man in his early 20s who were injured. The three victims were also pronounced dead.

Additionally, police located a 13-year-old girl with a gunshot wound. She was transported to a nearby hospital where she remains in critical condition.

Police say the suspect, identified as 47-year-old Eric Adams, fled the scene and led officers on a brief manhunt.

Officers initially located Adams at a business in the 1600 block of Dwayne Stedman Avenue, who was observed with a firearm. Adams then fled into the backyard of a nearby residence.

Police say Adams ignored officers’ commands to drop the gun before turning it on himself. He was declared dead at the scene.
