Founding Females: The centralized movement to empower women in business field

PEORIA (25News Now) - When opening a business, you might not know where to start.

Francie Hinrichsen felt these emotions when she left her corporate job in 2015 to start the Founding Females. It’s a movement for women business owners and entrepreneurs, to feel empowered and make connections in the field.

“I started the business in 2015. I craved a connection with other women. I had an accountability partner we would get together every month. We opened it up to the community and they were also craving the connection as well.” said Francie Hinrichsen.

Every month women from across the state come together to build a community, share connections, and empower one another.

“When I first started my business, I was looking for community. Entrepreneurship can be lonely. In October, I decided to go to a Founding Female conference. I was able to connect with really amazing people, said Brittany Richardson.

To help others like herself, Francine wrote the book called; “Dream, Build, Grow.” It’s a motto that Brittany can identify with.

“A key piece is to lift women. If you find this community and be a part of you automatically get an infusion of support and confidence,” said Brittany Richardson.

There were about 20 people at this monthly meeting held at Le Fluer floral shop in Washington. If you are new to the area and want to start your own business, you can click on the link to their website.
