You Gotta Eat: Fusion Crunch

BLOOMINGTON - It is a cold day and I need some hearty flavor to warm me up. Time to check out a spot in town that’s serving a ton of tasty plates, each with a unique twist.

Last summer, several foodies teamed up to bring a range of flavors to the Twin Cities: Fusion Crunch.

“We are combining different cuisines from different places. It is good to try new, different items,” co-owner Neetu Arora said.

We head right into the kitchen, where chefs Anthony and Red show us their stuff, starting with a best-selling appetizer: mouth-watering Candy Bacon.

Next up, another Fusion favorite: A Malaysian-style chicken quesadilla served with delicious homemade “Mango Tango” sauce.

“We have 10-12 different sauces, and we are making all the sauces in-house only,” Neetu said.

Next, we keep the fusion flowing with a gorgeous ramen bowl. It’s served with your choice of protein, and I went with the steak.

I’m sure to save room as we’re treated to some incredible, crispy chicken wings. Plus, for dessert, homemade donut balls, served a la mode with raspberry sauce.

The massive menu has something for just about everyone here, and I’ll have to come back to try more. The owners invite new customers to do the same.

“I’m really thankful to the Bloomington-Normal community for appreciating these kinds of unique flavors and spreading the word to their family and friends,” Neetu said.
