Sara Palczewski joined WEEK 25 Sports in April 2021 as a Weekend Sports Anchor/Reporter. She comes to WEEK from Auburn, Alabama, where she was a digital content editor at the Opelika-Auburn News.
Sara is a proud 2018 graduate of Auburn University’s journalism school. While in Auburn, she covered high school and Auburn University athletics, including the Auburn football’s bowl games and the basketball team’s Final Four run in 2019. Sara served as the Sports Director the student television station at Auburn and helped lead coverage on all Auburn sports.
Despite growing up in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Sara is a lifelong member of the Bills Mafia and is patiently waiting the team’s first Super Bowl. She also enjoys catching Pittsburgh Penguins and New York Yankees games in her free time.
In her free time, Sara loves to try out new recipes in the kitchen. She also loves a good new restaurant. Sara also enjoys working out, binge watching Netflix and petting any dog she meets.
Sara is thrilled to be in the Peoria area and can’t wait to help tell the stories of Central Illinois athletes.
