Victims of fatal Fri. night head-on collision identified

PEORIA (25News Now) - Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood has identified the two people who died in a head-on crash Friday night.
Harwood says the drivers of both vehicles - 76-year-old Pamela Spencer of Edelstein and 67-year-old Chester Lien of Macomb - suffered severe multiple blunt-force trauma injuries and died instantly.
Both Spencer and Lien were wearing seatbelts.
Toxicology is pending, per state statute.
The crash happened in the 9000 block of Route 150 in Kickapoo Township.
Peoria County Sheriff Chris Watkins says a witness saw a vehicle heading westbound on Route 150 trying to pass a vehicle ahead of them, but hit another vehicle, traveling eastbound on Route 150 ,head-on.
