UPDATE: University, Pioneer Parkway now open after cornstalk bales fall into roadway

UPDATE 10:50 A.M. - The Peoria Emergency Communications Center says the intersection is now open.
UPDATE 10:33 A.M. - As of around 10 minutes ago, IDOT’s camera at that intersection appears to show Peoria Public Works crews cleaning up the area as Peoria Police block traffic.
Peoria Police spokesperson Semone Roth says no there were injuries or crashes from the cornstalk bales in the road.
PEORIA (25News Now) - The Peoria Emergency Communications Center says the intersection of University and Pioneer Parkway is closed for a road obstruction.
The Illinois Department of Transportation traffic camera shows what appears to be hay bales in the roadway.
