UPDATE: Man identified after fatal shooting in South Peoria Saturday morning
UPDATE 4:52 P.M. - The victim of a fatal shooting Saturday morning in South Peoria has been identified as Torlando J. Smith, 40, of North Broadway Street in Peoria, according to the coroner.
Smith was taken by private vehicle to a local hospital about 10:14 a.m. after he was shot in the 100 block of South McReynolds Court, between West Joh H. Gwynn Jr. Avenue and West Hurlburt Street.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood said the autopsy showed Smith suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
Harwood said Smith was taken to the hospital in grave condition and was pronounced dead in the trauma room at 10:38 a.m.
There is currently no suspect information, according to police.

PEORIA (25News Now) - Peoria Police are investigating a Saturday homicide.
Spokesperson Semone Roth says officers were called at around 10:14 a.m. to a local hospital for a man who had been brought by private vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds.
That man died a short time later.
Police determined that the shooting occurred in a home in the 100 block of South McReynolds and found evidence that a shooting took place.
There is currently no suspect information.
