No. 23 Illini dominate inside, rout Southern 88-60

(25News Now) - No. 23 Illinois basketball wrapped up a very busy week in winning fashion on Sunday night. The Illini downed Southern U 88-60 in their third game in the last six days. Illinois dominated on the interior scoring a whopping 62 points in the paint, outscoring the Jaguars on inside scoring alone. Terrence Shannon Jr. led the way for the Orange & Blue with 24 points as Illinois moves to 4-1 on the season.
After the three-games-in-six-days stretch, the Illini will have a few days off before their next game when they host in-state rival Western Illinois on Friday night at 8:00 p.m.
