Mild weekend weather ahead of cooler conditions for Thanksgiving
PEORIA (25News Now) - We enjoyed plenty of sunshine behind a passing cold front Friday as high pressure begun to build. High pressure will continue to drive the forecast to kick off the weekend, bringing more sunshine and quiet weather. We will see colder conditions arrive by Thanksgiving with another passing storm system ahead of the holiday.
This Weekend: High pressure will keep the forecast quiet and dry through the weekend. It will be a cold start this morning as temperatures will trend in the 20′s area wide. You will need the coat and sunglasses for any early morning plans due to the cold. Sunny skies will dominate for Saturday as we warm to the mid 50′s.

Sunday will be a bit warmer with highs in the upper 50′s to around 60 degrees. Clouds will gradually build throughout the day as a storm system approaches which will bring our next rain chance Monday.
Next Week: A storm system will bring rain chances Monday afternoon into Tuesday’s forecast. This system will allow cooler air to quickly set in behind it as temperatures drop to the lower 40′s and upper 30′s by Wednesday. Overnight temperatures will be cold as well, trending in the 20′s. As of now, Thanksgiving will see temperatures in the mid to lower 40′s with mostly sunny skies.

Another chance for light rain and a few flurries may be possible the weekend after Thanksgiving. Make sure to tune in this morning for the full 10 Day First Alert Forecast!
