(25News Now) - We are now less than 24 hours away from final four football games Illinois. In Class 7A, Normal Community is gearing up for a state semifinal matchup on Saturday at Downers Grove North at 2 p.m. In Class 6A, Washington is making its final preparations to host defending state champion East St. Louis for a 1 p.m. kickoff at Babcook Field.

In high school basketball, Normal Community moved to 3-0 in the Intercity Tournament with a 53-41 win over Bloomington Central Catholic. Meanwhile, Normal West topped Normal U-High 49-36. In the Galesburg Tournament, Washington beat Peoria Manual 52-40. At the Clinton Turkey Tussle, Olympia beat Decatur Eisenhower 59-33 while Eureka topped host Clinton 33-25.

In pro hockey, the Peoria Rivermen moved to 6-0-1 on the season with a x-x win over Roanoke in a rematch of the 2021 SPHL Championship series.
