16-year-old remains detained, charged with aggravated battery in connection with shooting of Manual High student walking to school

PEORIA (25News Now) - The 16-year-old accused of shooting a 17-year-old walking to school will remain detained.
In a detention hearing Friday, Jimichael Brown was ordered held.
He is charged with aggravated battery in connection with the shooting of a 17-year-old student walking to Manual High School on November 9.
In court, it was noted the shooting was random.
The victim’s femur was broken because of the shooting.
He’ll be in court at 10:30 a.m. December 6.
He faces 6-30 years in prison and would have to serve 85%.
