Peoria gas prices continue decline

PEORIA (25News Now) - Gas prices around Peoria are still on the decline, falling 2.4 cents in the past week and now averaging $3.41 per gallon, according to GasBuddy’s 148 station area survey.
This means prices around the River City are 19.8 cents lower than a month ago and 70.1 cents per gallon lower than this time last year.
The cheapest station was priced at $3.07 per gallon Sunday. The most expensive was $3.99 per gallon - a 92-cent difference.
Around Illinois, the lowest price was $2.88 per gallon and the highest was $4.99 per gallon - a $2.11 per gallon difference.
Around the country, the average price has fallen 4.6 cents per gallon, averaging $3.33 per gallon.
The national average is down 24.8 cents per gallon from a month ago and is 42.6 cents per gallon lower than this time last year.
The national average price of diesel has fallen 4.2 cents in the last week and is now $4.34 per gallon.
