25 Sports High School Sunday - November 12, 2023

(25News Now) - Two Central Illinois powers remain in the high school football playoffs as we head toward next week’s state semifinals. In Class 7A, the Normal Community Ironmen are set to take on Downers Grove North in the state semis after a come-from-behind win over Glenbard East in the state quarterfinals. In Class 6A, Washington will face defending state champion East St. Louis after a dominant defensive effort in a quarterfinal win over Chatham Glenwood.

In volleyball, Morton returned home with the first volleyball state trophy in Mid-Illini history on Sunday and got to celebrate with a firetruck parade.
