Illini basketball hoping experience, maturity lead them to special season
Plus Bradley and Illinois State open season Monday

(25News Now) - In crunch time of their exhibition win over Kansas, Illinois basketball had all kinds of experience on the floor. Along with senior Coleman Hawkins, fifth-year seniors Terrence Shannon Jr., Justin Harmon, Marcus Domask and Quincy Guerrier held down the fort and led the Illini to victory. The Orange & Blue are hoping that experience and maturity can lead them on a special season as they tip of the new campaign Monday against Eastern Illinois.
Monday is also the season opener for both Bradley and Illinois State. The Braves hit the road to take on UAB while the Redbirds host Lourdes (OH) at CEFCU Arena.
