Peoria man convicted for role in 2022 murder

PEORIA (25News Now) - A Peoria man faces up to 15 years in prison for his role in a March 2022 murder.
During the first day of his trial, 24-year-old Chazier Johnson pled guilty Monday to second degree murder.
Two counts of first-degree murder were dropped.
Johnson was charged in the March 8, 2022 murder of 40-year-old Timothy D. Foreman, Jr.
After an eight round shotspotter alert on West Beverly, officers found Foreman with an apparent gunshot wound.
He died at the scene.
Johnson is due to be sentenced on December 20th.
