Shooting leaves 14-year-old with non-life-threatening injuries

PEORIA (25News Now) - A 14-year-old boy was taken to the hospital after being shot in the leg.
Peoria Police spokesperson Semone Roth says officers were called at around 6:07 p.m. to the 2400 block of West Ann Street, finding the boy with a gunshot wound to the leg.
He was alert and talking to police at the scene and transported to the hospital with what are described as non-life-threatening injuries.
The shooting is under investigation.
