Man stabbed on Peoria’s south side, part of violent day in the city

PEORIA (25News Now) - A man was stabbed multiple times late Monday afternoon on Peoria’s south side, part of an unusually violent day to start the week in the River City.
Besides the stabbing, police say five people were wounded in three separate shootings.
Peoria Police were called about 4:15 p.m. to the 900 block of South Blaine Street, near West Ann Street where they saw a man down with multiple stab wounds.
Police say he was being treated at a local hospital with serious injuries.
Information about any suspects was not available.
