BLOOMINGTON (25News Now) - A Tennessee man will find out Tuesday whether he will remain jailed as he awaits trial for an armed robbery Saturday night at a Bloomington McDonald’s restaurant.

McLean County prosecutors are asking a judge to detain Marcus Folks, 41, of Jackson, Tennessee.

Bloomington Police say Folks went to the drive-thru of the McDonald’s in the 2400 block of South Main Street. He allegedly displayed a handgun, demanded money and sped off about 8:35 p.m. The employee was not hurt.

Folks reportedly led police on a high-speed chase on I-74 to Carlock where he crashed into a field.

A detention hearing for Folks is scheduled for 9 a.m. Tuesday.
