School Bus hit in Pekin

PEORIA (25News Now) - A Pekin school bus was damaged, with kids aboard, in a Monday afternoon crash.
It was just after 3:00 p.m. at S. 9th and Washington streets.
A dark colored BMW hit the school bus on the side, the car then careened off and got wedged into a curb.
We now understand there were two kids on board but no one on the bus was hurt.
Neighbors did complain about speeding drivers when we were out there.
One mentioned putting a large rock in the front yard to protect the house from wild drivers.
Late Monday, we learned from Mayor Mary Burress that the police chief, John Dossey told her that the driver of the BMW was cited for running the stop sign and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
