“A little slice of heaven in Central Illinois”: El Paso-Gridley XC Invitational at Furrow Farm is a fun challenge for runners

(25News Now) - There’s not much country in cross country these days. Many meets are held on well-manicured golf courses and have next to perfect footing.
That is not the case at the El Paso-Gridley Invitational. The EPGXC Invite is held at Furrow Farm in El Paso and offers all kinds of terrain and obstacles to battle with on the three-mile course. From creek crossings to muddy hills that sometimes require a rope to traverse to huge hills and criss-crossing fly overs, the meet at Furrow Farm is a unique challenge for runners from all over Central Illinois.
