New tips have stopped coming in case of Jelani Day

(25News Now) - The task force looking into the death of Illinois State University graduate student Jelani Day says the investigation continues, but no new tips have come in.
In a statement, the task force says it agrees with the LaSalle County Coroner’s determination that Day drowned, but the manner of death is still undetermined.
He was reported missing in August 2021. His body was found weeks later in Peru.
The task force adds a $10,000 reward for substantial information regarding Day’s final hours remains active.
