16-year-old dies over a month after mass shooting in Peoria
PEORIA (25News Now) - The Peoria County Coroner says one person is dead after an August 30 shooting that left five people injured.
Coroner Jamie Harwood identified the 16-year-old as Antonio Walker, of South Greenlawn Avenue.
He was pronounced dead at OSF at 1:04 a.m. on September 30.
The autopsy shows that he suffered a gunshot wound to the head.
Five people were shot and a sixth person suffered a laceration, according to Peoria Police.
Police responded to the 2200 block of West Marquette Avenue for two ShotSpotter alerts for 29 rounds fired.
