Garage fire causes $60,000 in damages

PEORIA (25News Now) - An investigation is underway in Peoria after a garage fire Sunday morning.

Crews arrived on the scene on East Maywood Avenue just after 8 a.m. and found heavy fire coming from a detached single-stall garage behind the house. Crews began extinguishing the fire from the exterior and the fire was brought under control within 12 minutes.

A Peoria Fire Department investigator determined the fire was unintentional.

No one was injured.

Damage is estimated at $60,000.
