PEORIA (25News Now) - Community Workshop and Training Center has continued its partnership with Peoria Public Works to “Paint a Plow.”

The event allows organizations in the River City to paint a message on the blades of Public Works’ snowplows.

In the four years of partnership, Lexi Rivas, the community integration program coordinator at CWTC says it’s a great way to “picture” the community together.

“We’re just hoping that they recognize some fun safety messages for winter, and that they are able to link us as an organization here in Peoria. Everything that we do for adults with disabilities, and providing services to them and including them into the community just as anybody else is.”

The CWTC has provides services and job training skills to adults with disabilities and has been doing so since 1960.
