UPDATE: Fire destroys home in Manito

MANITO (25News Now) - Smoke filled the air high above the Mason County village of Manito as a fire destroyed a home there early Tuesday evening.
Seven fire departments were called shortly before 5 p.m. to battle the fire in the 200 block of East Southmoor Avenue in Manito.
A photo from the scene shows flames coming from the house.
One person was home at the time, but there were no injuries. The fire chief said crews were able to save a home next door from catching fire.
Firefighters said it took 45 minutes to an hour for crews to put out the fire.
