(25News Now) - It was a winning college football Saturday around Central Illinois. The Illini snapped a two-game losing streak with a 23-17 win over Florida Atlantic to close out non-conference play.

The Illini trailed 10-0 in the second quarter before a 46-yard double-reverse flea flicker from Luke Altmyer to Bloomington High grad Griffin Moore put the Orange and Blue on the board. The touchdown was the first of Moore’s collegiate career. The Illini took the lead before halftime and hung on for the win to move to 2-2.

Next up for Illinois is the heart of Big Ten play when they visit Purdue next Saturday.

Meanwhile, Illinois State moved to 3-1 on the season with a dominant 48-17 win over Lindenwood.

Eureka College remains unbeaten. The Red Devils beat St. Norbert 21-17 to move to 4-0.
