Man arrested after multitude of ShotSpotter alerts
PEORIA (25News Now) - A man was arrested after fleeing police in the area of multiple ShotSpotter alerts Thursday night.
Peoria Police spokesperson Semone Roth says 34-year-old Adrin Terrell was arrested for resisting police, unlawful restraint and domestic battery.
Roth says that at around 7:17 p.m., officers were called to the 700 block of East LaSalle for a seven-round ShotSpotter alert.
While en route, there was a second alert for 10 rounds in the same area, a third for seven rounds in the 700 block of East Nebraska and a fourth for two rounds in the 700 block of East LaSalle - for 26 rounds total.
A vehicle was seen fleeing the area when officers arrived. Terrell left the vehicle and fled the area on foot before being arrested.
The vehicle was found abandoned in the 600 block of East Kansas.
Terrell was taken to the county jail.
