UPDATE: Police say wrong-way driver causes head-on crash on I-39 near Minonk

UPDATE 10:30 P.M. - Authorities said a sport utility vehicle going the wrong way on Interstate 39 in Woodford County crashed head-on with a semi Tuesday night, according to police.
The crash was reported about 9:10 p.m. just south of Minonk. Illinois State Police said the northbound vehicle crossed into the southbound lanes. State Police said at least one person was taken to a local hospital, but a condition report was not available.
All southbound lanes of I-39 are closed so police can investigate the crash and clear the wreckage.
WOODFORD COUNTY (25News Now) - A crash Tuesday evening on Interstate 39 near Minonk in Woodford County has closed down traffic in both directions, according to a police dispatcher.
The dispatcher urged the public to stay away from the area.
