PEORIA (25News Now) - Some of us woke up to some wet weather this morning, but not everyone in Central Illinois saw rain today. We’ll have multiple chances for more showers and storms over the next few days, but at this point no day looks like it will be a washout.

Tonight and Tomorrow:

Partly to mostly cloudy skies are expected overnight. We will see showers develop near and west of the Mississippi River, and some of these will move east into Central Illinois late tonight and early tomorrow morning. Right now, it looks like the best rain chances will be for areas north of I-74.

Showers and a few storms will be possible tonight and tomorrow morning, especially north of I-74.

Lows tomorrow morning will be on either side of 60.

We may see a few showers continue through the middle of the morning tomorrow, especially north of I-74, but otherwise it will be a mostly dry day. Expect partly sunny skies with highs in the low 80s.

Later This Week:

Another round of showers and a few storms will be possible tomorrow night and into Thursday. Rain could last a little longer into Thursday morning compared to tomorrow morning, but we should start to see rain chances dropping by Thursday afternoon.

Showers and storms will also continue periodically Thursday night into Friday. Highs will be on either side of 80 for the next few days.

Additional showers and storms are expected this weekend. Forecast models have too many differences to confidently pinpoint the timing of our weekend rain, but we’ll continue to keep an eye on it and make sure that you’re updated on the latest over the next few days.

We'll see chances for rain each day through the weekend, but no day will be a washout.
