(25News Now) - Motorcyclists from across Central Illinois took off Thursday morning for the 17th annual St. Jude Ride to Memphis.
More than 200 riders gathered at Walter Brothers Harley Davidson in Peoria for the 380-mile ride.
People lined the streets and cheered as they started their journey. This group alone has raised $960,000 for the kids of St. Jude.
”All of the funds raised in this event and like all our other events are really the driving force to treating local children here and then also the research done in Memphis is saving children throughout the world,” said St. Jude organizer Molly Graham.
The group will meet up with other bikers from across the country in Dyersburg, Tennessee Thursday night and are expected to make it to Memphis Friday.
