UPDATE: Motorcyclist hurt in crash on University near War Memorial in Peoria

UPDATE 4:45 P.M. - Peoria Police say a man was hurt in a crash involving a motorcycle and a car late Wednesday afternoon near the intersection of North University Street, near War Memorial Drive.

The crash happened about 4:10 p.m. The driver of the motorcycle suffered non-life-threatening injuries, said Peoria Police spokesperson Semone Roth.

Police are investigating what caused the crash.

PEORIA (25News Now) - Injuries are reported following a crash involving a motorcycle on North University Street, near War Memorial Drive.

Peoria Police and Fire Departments closed down a section of University Street near the crash scene, but it took only minutes for crews to clear the roadway.

“Motorists should still use caution in this area,” the city’s Emergency Communications Center said in an email just before 4:30 p.m.
