Indictments allege Peoria doctor illegally videotaped dozens of people in OSF employee bathrooms
PEORIA (25News Now) - Grand jury indictments handed up on Tuesday specify how many people a Peoria doctor allegedly videotaped without authorization in employee bathrooms at OSF St. Francis Medical Center.
The grand jury on Tuesday indicted Henry Chang, 28, on 56 felony counts.
The indictments allege Chang videotaped 52 women and three men, identified as Jane or Jon Does, between July 6 and August 9.
Chang was arrested last month. Peoria County State’s Attorney Jodi Hoos said in a news release that Chang set up cameras in two employee bathrooms.
A worker using the bathroom spotted a camera on the floor after it fell from its hiding place, according to authorities.
Chang is free on bond but has to wear a GPS monitoring device and he had to surrender his passport.
He’s scheduled to appear in court September 21 for his arraignment before Peoria County Judge John Vespa.
