25 Sports High School Tuesday - September 12, 2023
(25News Now) - It was a busy Tuesday of high school sports action across Central Illinois.
In soccer, Peoria Notre Dame remained unbeaten in conference play with a 9-0 win over Peoria High. In Mid-Illini action, Morton beat Pekin 4-0, Washington topped Limestone 7-0 and Dunlap shutout East Peoria 9-0.
At the Intercity Boys Golf Tournament, Normal West’s Jack Wenzel beat Normal U-High’s Brody Allen in a playoff to win the individual Intercity title. Allen, though, led the Pioneers the team title, besting rival Bloomington Central Catholic by one stroke.
In volleyball, Limestone topped Washington in two sets, Morton beat Pekin in two and Tremont upset Tri-Valley in three sets.
In college volleyball, Normal U-High grad Lily Barry and Illinois volleyball came to Peoria and beat Bradley in four sets.
