Normal West WR Sencerre Brown wins 25 Sports Athlete of the Week
(25News Now) - Normal West senior Sencerre Brown is familiar with the Wildcats rivalry with crosstown foe Normal Community but he’s familiar with it in a different way than his Normal West teammates. This is Brown’s first season with Normal West after spending the first three years of his high school career at rival NCHS.
He’s already become a big piece of the offense for the Wildcats in his first season, snagging the first three varsity touchdowns of his career in last week’s win over Bloomington. That performance netted him the 25 Sports Athlete of the Week award.
He credits that to his speed and talent at the wide receiver position as well as his connection with quarterback Johnny Freymann who was Brown’s QB in JFL. He’s excited try to put up some more big numbers this Friday when he takes on his old team in a big-time rivalry matchup.
