Rossi jailed for bond violations, accused of selling pricey vehicles without court approval

PEORIA (25News Now) - Former Reditus Labs CEO Aaron Rossi is being held in the Peoria County Jail for allegedly violating conditions of his bond in a criminal case.

Federal prosecutors want the judge to revoke Rossi’s bond for selling eight vehicles without the court’s permission, and for violating curfew.

Court documents list vehicles worth $655,000 that Rossi allegedly sold without court approval. The vehicles include a Cadillac Escalade, a Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe, a Tesla, Jeep Wrangler, and a Dodge Ram - all 2021 models.

Rossi also sold three Harley Davidson motorcycles - all 2023 models - according to court records.

The alleged curfew violation happened in August when he didn’t return home by 10 p.m. after meeting with his lawyers in Chicago. Court documents said Rossi claimed he had a flat tire, called a driver and fell asleep on his way home.

Rossi is awaiting trial for allegedly defrauding the Bloomington company he used to work for - Central Illinois Orthopedic Surgery - during a four-year period before he launched Reditus.

Pekin-based Reditus, under Rossi’s leadership, won lucrative multi-million-dollar state government contracts to perform COVID-10 testing.

A bond revocation hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, but it’s not known whether Rossi will find out during the hearing how much longer he’ll be locked up.
