(25News Now) - Tuesday night in high school sports was headlined by a terrific volleyball matchup. Normal West went on the road and knocked off Metamora in two sets. Elsewhere, Dunlap topped Peoria Richwoods in two, Morton got a road win over Geneseo in two and Washington beat Rock Island in two.
In soccer, Mid-Illini teams kicked off conference play on Tuesday. At Metamora, Washington picked up a 5-0 win over the rival Redbirds. Elsewhere, Morton topped Canton and Dunlap beat Pekin. In Chillicothe, IVC played their first game on their brand new soccer turf against Ottawa in a 2-2 draw.
