Former Illini, Peoria Manual basketball star Da’Monte Williams sworn is as Peoria Police officer

(25News Now) - 16 people were sworn in as Peoria police officers on Monday morning at the Peoria Civic Center. Among those new officers was former Illini and Peoria Manual basketball star Da’Monte Williams.
The next step for Da’Monte is to finish his police officer training which will take him back to his college home of Champaign. He’s thrilled to be a Peoria police officer and to give back to his community.
