PEORIA (25News Now) - The Sweet Corn Circus celebrates Bloomington-Normal’s agricultural and circus roots, and of course, features a variety of corn food vendors.
The annual event draws in thousands of attendees and this year’s circus features performances by clowns, acrobats, aerial artists, professional wrestlers, and more.
A crowd favorite, Glodo’s Kettle Corn had lines wrapped around the circle and they say they are seeing the crowd size slowly increase back up to the pre-pandemic numbers.
“People will come and be like ‘We’re so happy that you’re here! We were waiting for you.’ A lot of college students too will wait for this event because it’s right when school comes back.” Isabella Delsasso says they were able to go through close to 20 bags of kernels.
