Black business owners gather to strengthen ties with bankers

PEORIA (25News Now) - Black business owners gathered Thursday night to connect and build relationships with bankers, who are key to making their businesses a success.

The Minority Business Development Center hosted the Black Business Finance Fair.

“In the Black community, often times in business we don’t have a relationship with the bank, so they have an opportunity here to start connecting faces and names and actually get to know someone,” said Denise Moore, chief executive officer of the Minority Business Development Center.

Another networking opportunity happens on Saturday, August 26 at the Minority Business Development Center. An indoor market from 10 A.M to 2 P.M. is expected to attract many businesses owners. The Minority Business Development Center is located at 2139 SW Adams Street in Peoria.
