Greater Peoria Honor Flight Fundraiser Interview
PEORIA (25News Now) - The Greater Peoria Honor Flight has two fall flights coming up on September 6th and October 10th. However, the organization has a lot of fundraising that needs to be done to continue sending our nation’s veterans to Washington, D.C.
GPHF Vice President Phyllis Piraino, along with GPHF Kids Krew members Jaxon and Murray, stopped by the 25News studio to share details on the “Honoring Our Vets Cookout,” happening Saturday, August 19th.
At the cookout, enjoy hamburgers, brats, hot dogs, side dishes and more — all while meeting veterans and helping raise money to send them to our capital city.
The cookout runs from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Vietnam Veterans of Illinois (VVI) Bunker in Washington.
