55 charges new against Peoria doctor accused of hiding video cameras in OSF employee bathrooms

PEORIA (25News Now) - Peoria Doctor Henry Chang faces 55 more felony counts of unlawful video recording for allegedly hiding cameras in employee bathrooms at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, the Peoria County State’s Attorney’s Office said on Friday.

A week ago, State Attorney Jodi Hoos announced Chang, 28, was charged with one felony count. Now, Hoos said further investigation shows Chang set up cameras in two employee bathrooms and had been recording people using the bathrooms for more than a month.

Hoos said detectives have found more than 100 recordings of victims on Chang’s computers. Police are said to be working with OSF in identifying those victims.

Based on the new charges, bond was raised to $115,000 for Chang. Conditions of his bond include that he has to wear a GPS monitoring device and that he surrender his passport.

More charges are expected when the case goes to the grand jury next month, the state’s attorney said.
