Councilmember hopes plans for former site of historic church remain
PEORIA (25News Now) - A Peoria City Councilmember is hoping one of Kim Blickenstaff’s former visions will remain a city asset.
There’s a for sale sign on the property of the green space where the Hale Church once stood at the corner of High and Main streets.
Blickenstaff’s KDB Group owns that land and promised to make it a memorial green space.
But it’s another investment that the group is changing direction on.
Councilmember Chuck Grayeb wants to see the city use it for the historic purpose that had been promised.
He also wants the stained glass and artifacts that were inside given over the Peoria Riverfront Museum or Peoria Historical Society.
