Dozens continue search for missing Peoria County man

PEORIA COUNTY (25News Now) - Dozens of people searched Peoria County Tuesday looking for 32-year-old Logan Dunne.

Dunne’s parents say he has a mental health issue and they took him semi-voluntarily to the hospital. But when he escaped from the hospital -- his parents didn’t know for a few days.

Dunne was last seen on Northeast Glen Oak Avenue on June 2. His parents say he’s a type one diabetic and does not have supplies with him to manage his condition.

“The need for insulin would be extremely strong right now. He would be in what they call diabetic ketoacidosis, which starts shutting down the system in a sense.” “It’s just heartbreaking. It’s frustrating. At this point, we’re almost at a loss of what we can do except depend on help from others.”
