Local girl catches largemouth bass with chicken nugget, video goes viral

CANTON (25News Now) - Most people try to catch a fish with a worm or a lure. However, this local 9-year-old girl decided to use a chicken nugget.

The video of the catch has gone viral.

Charlotte Pinon, 9 from Wyoming, used a McDonald’s chicken nugget to catch a largemouth bass. She caught the fish on Memorial Day in Canton.

Charlotte Pinon’s father, Austin Pinon, owns Shank Bait Co. and posted the video to the app ‘TikTok’ where it has almost 3 million views.

They believe the bass weighed about 5 lbs.

In the past, Charlotte Pinon says she has caught fish with crackers and even gummy worms.

“(I was) just excited,” said Charlotte Pinon.

”I thought it was a fluke at first when it happened and then it happened again. It happened four times total, she caught four different fish from four different chicken nuggets,” said Austin Pinon.

Charlotte Pinon says she plans to use Doritos on her next fishing trip.
