Streator Police investigating fatal shooting

STREATOR (25News Now) - Streator Police are investigating the shooting death of a 33-year-old man.
Police responded at around 1:20 p.m. to the 400 block of Everett Street Sunday.
Police Chief John Franklin said the incident involved two cars, with occupants shooting at each other. One vehicle was hit by a large-caliber bullet. A nearby home was hit too.
The man was shot in the arm with the bullet going through into his chest.
The department is asking for information from anyone in the area, and to review camera footage for anything that might help investigators.
A vehicle of interest is described as a silver/gray four-door sedan but an unknown make or model.

This is described as an isolated incident and there is no known threat to the public.
The victim’s name is being withheld pending notification of family.
