Trio arrested for various drug, weapons offenses

PEORIA (25News Now) - Three people were arrested after multiple traffic stops on vehicles suspected of drug trafficking Tuesday.
Peoria Police spokesperson Semone Roth says that the stops were done at around 6:09 p.m. on vehicles leaving the area of 4600 N. Woodview Avenue.
During one of the stops, a large amount of illegal drugs and currency was seized, leading to the arrest of Jacob L. Fuller, 21, for unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of cannabis, and delivery of cannabis.
A home in the area was searched where officers found an “AR-style pistol,” machine gun switch, large quantities of illegal drugs and a large amount of currency.
Branden N. Heid, 20, was arrested for unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession with intent to delivery, delivery of cannabis, possession of cannabis, possession of a firearm, possession of a machine gun and armed violence.
Morgan K. Wiedeman, 21, was arrested for armed violence, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession with intent to deliver, delivery of cannabis, possession of a firearm and possession of a machine gun.
All three were transported to the Peoria County Jail.
The incident remains under investigation.
