Henry Mallards excited to bring small ball mentality to first-ever State Final Four

(25News Now) - With a first-year head coach in Max Kirbach, the Henry Mallards have made a remarkable run to their first-ever State Final Four, winning 15 of their last 16 games en route to Peoria and the IHSA State Finals.
The Mallards advanced with a 3-2 win over Milford in Monday’s Super-Sectional, a victory that saw them play small ball to perfection. Thanks to great bunting, base running, defense and an ace pitcher in junior Lance Kiesewetter, Henry feels like they can make some noise at Dozer Park this weekend.
